Planning a bachelor party can be pretty stressful, since you’re directly responsible for the good times of a bunch of people. You definitely don’t want to leave it too late, and you don’t want to leave anything up to chance. Downtown Vancouver simply doesn’t have as much going on as other large Canadian cities like Montreal and Toronto, so if you’re planning a Vancouver bachelor party, your best best is to branch out outside of the city to take advantage of the surrounding areas too.
Downtown Strip Clubs
Probably, if you are planning a bachelor party, a fair chunk of the people in your group are going to be set on going to a strip club, so it’s worth planning. There’s The Penthouse which is good because it’s close to the bars and clubs on Granville. There’s Brandi’s, which is a little more high end, or if you’re looking for a greasy evening, you might as well go to No5 Orange in the Downtown Eastside.
Head to Whistler
This is almost a no-brainer if you live in the Vancouver area and are looking to have an throw an unforgettable bachelor party. If it’s winter, you can go skiing during the day, and if it’s any other season, you can mountain bike, or take part in any of the numerous activities they’ve got going on up there including white water rafting, paint-balling, ATV touring, and bungee jumping to get the adrenaline going.
Houseboating on a Lake
If you’re not feeling like heading up to Whistler, another great call is spending a couple of days on a houseboat with your boys. Shuswap Lake, for example, is within striking distance, and is considered to be the houseboating capital of Canada. They have trails all around, as well as golfing, restaurants, and more that you can check out when you’re not lounging on the deck.
